World geography

Abbey loves to play with the globe. She will ask us "What's this one?" about the different colored countries until we change the subject. Without any help, she can locate Japan, India (where Chad went last March), Madagascar (like the movie), and Texas.

Japan is small and purple.

Texas is big and yellow and "Nana and Pappaw Bill and his cows live in Texas!"

Right now Abbey doesn't really understand how big the earth is and how far apart and different all these places are. But I hope that by us living in Japan (and who knows where else!) she will always know how fortunate she is to be an American and have all the freedoms we do. And I also hope she will always know that God really does have "the whole world in His hands" and she can trust Him wherever she lives!
