Yesterday it was rainy and Chad was going to be a little late getting home. This added up to a boring afternoon for Abbey, who likes to use her post-nap energy at the playground, or jumping and screaming with Daddy. (Mommy's not so into the jumping and screaming type of play.) So off we went to the Daiei, a department-type store just 5 minutes off base (say Die-eh). Many stores in Japan have pay to play areas for kids- some are better than others. It can get pricey if you have more than one kid or go often, but today it was worth the 300 yen, and it wasn't even crowded. Much to Abbey's disappointment, I resisted the temptation to stop at the "Mr. Donut" restaurant inside, but it was still fun.
