Fire station field trip

We went on our second field trip with the other kids and moms from Miss Debbie's yesterday. This time we went to the main fire station on base. Though any group can tour the facility, it was extra fun for us since one of Abbey's classmates' dad is a firefighter. We saw got to see the rooms where they sleep, how to put on a fire suit, and, of course, the trucks. I wish they would have talked about fire safety or something like that, but kids were pretty focused on getting to the trucks so maybe it would have fallen on deaf ears! Abbey clung to Chad the whole time, and didn't crack a smile until the end, but has been playing Firefighter Abbey and talking about it non-stop since she got home.
Firefighter Jason puts on his fire suit.

Driving the fire engine.

Spraying the water- wow!

Field trips are more fun with Daddy along.

Sparky the Fire Dog- surprisingly, this was Abbey's favorite part.

Firefighter Abbey- Saving the world- one fire at a time.

That last photo is great - she looks so tiny in front of the giant truck. Glad y'all had a good field trip.
