Way Back Whens-day: Baby Pools

Gotta love the wading pool. Nothing like it to get the kids worn out and water your yard all at once. Obviously these first pictures of Abbey (way back in 2006) are not in our own wading pool, but rather at the wonderful Showa Park. (Go HERE and HERE for some of our other Showa Park adventures.)

Love Abbey's little legs here. And for a laugh, click on the picture to enlarge and check out the lady in the black pants standing by the edge of the pool.

Yeah! This is fun!

Fast forward three years to San Antonio, where summer begins in April or if you're lucky, May. (And ends in October or November, but who's counting?) Elliott was a big fan of going down the slide into our friends' little pool.

And Abbey loved just splashing and splashing with her friend.

They had so much fun that I bought them the same pool. It is big enough that they don't have to be too close together when they are playing. It's an unbelievable amount of trouble to fill and drain it, but worth it for the smiles on the faces... and how quickly they fall asleep that night!

Yes! Nothing beats water play to tire out the girls.

That woman in the background is too funny...it looks like her butts on backwards. :)
