Happy Birthday to Mommy!

So, I had a birthday... and Chad was out of town... sigh. (Really, we are used to it because in the ten years we have been celebrating birthdays together, we have been apart as often as together on our big days. But I still get to whine a little, right?) Lucky for me I have two little girls who love birthdays, and for the first time in several years, I'm living close enough to celebrate with my family. And I had not one, not two, but THREE different friends surprise me with birthday cake or cupcakes. I am blessed!

Abbey took this picture of me with the baseball glove "she" got me so we can play together.
(Thanks Nana!)

Abbey likes to take self portraits.

A few days after my birthday we headed to my mom's house to celebrate with her, my stepdad, my brother and my grandparents. It was fun to be together and great to not make my own birthday cake.

I'm getting so old I needed help to blow out the candles.

My brother Luke is shocked by something my Granmom said (that's the back of her head).

Uncle Luke and his girlfriend Lacy were such good sports about playing with the girls.

Final Score: Uncle Luke- 0; Super Nieces- 2
Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes and made my day(s) special! Enjoy the video of the girls singing Happy Birthday to Mommy.

BTW, Mousie says to say she liked Abbey's and Elliot's singing. (It sounded like they were singing MUMMY, not mommy. Do they call you mum or mom?)

Happy Birthday, Bethany! That is one cool black mitt. You'll have lots of fun together playing ball! So happy you have good friends there to bless you on your day. Sending lots of hugs to you and many prayers for you and Chad.

They were definitely singing Mommy. They think a Mummy is wrapped in bandages living in a museum. :0) Abbey has a friend here whose mother is British and even though Oliver has no accent at all, he still calls her Mum.
