Red, White, Blue and CUTE!
For some reason Elliott did not want to ride her bike. So we decorated the wagon instead. She walked for a while then hopped in.
Wave your flag!

The parade was short and sweet. It was also a little like herding cats- the kids were kind of all over the place. But it was the first time any of us have ever done it, so having around 10 families participating and a few more outside to watch was great! While we are thankful to live in a quiet neighborhood, we don't see many of our neighbors very often, so we enjoyed visiting with people and meeting some new friends. Hopefully we will do it again next year!
The rest of our Independence Day was okay. Chad did of course have a performance and we decided not to go along this time, after last year's nonsense. The girls took a miraculous afternoon nap, so I took that as a sign that they could stay up and watch fireworks. We drove to a parking lot near Sea World and watched their great fireworks display for free! It was a fun day doing some traditional 4th of July things that may become new traditions for our little proud Americans.
