Kiddie Park

It's hard for me to believe we have lived in San Antonio for three years already. That is how long we lived at our last two bases, and then we moved. But we're still here, so I'm glad that there are still new (to us) things to do in San Antonio.
On Labor Day we checked out Kiddie Park. I had not wanted to go all summer because it has been so hot. But it was nice out that morning, and we had wristbands given to us by a friend who moved away, so we set off to have a fun and FREE morning!
All the rides at Kiddie Park are, not surprisingly, just for kids. Adults can fit on some of them, but our girls were just fine riding things together without Mom and Dad. The park itself is quite old, and if you are used to newer, cleaner, more modern rides, you might be disappointed. But it was all safe and the girls didn't seem to notice things like faded paint and carousel horses with chipped hooves.

We had a really fun morning! The girls didn't fight with each other or constantly whine, it wasn't too crowded, and the only money we spent was $1 on some candy to share. As you can see, Abbey is almost too big for some of the rides, so I was glad we were able to come and have a fun time before she outgrows this kind of outing. Here's hoping we can continue to find fun things in San Antonio for the growing Girls on the Go.
