And here is Elliott scaring me and my friend Ashley by climbing up a 6 foot ladder in slippery socks.
Elliott is also apparently determined to get me in trouble at church. Now that she is 2, she can't go to the nursery during the worship service, so she stays with us. When she's not pulling someone's hand saying "Want go walk around," that is. We bring snacks and quiet toys and let her remove and sort all the blank attendance cards and anything else we can think of to try and keep her quiet... but sometimes it just doesn't work. Two weeks ago, she had a "Bible" (actually a song book) open on the pew next to her. She had a small toy in one hand tapping on the pages. She was sort of whispering to herself at first, all I could make out was "God said.. God said..." and then in full voice: "God said, NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!" See?! She's trying to get me busted for laughing in church as well as for making up Bible stories.
The next Sunday, she was ready to go to Bible class and could not wait for the sermon to be over. As soon as the song leader dismissed us she yelled, "Bible class! Yeah!" Then on the way home we were talking about the lesson, which this week was God calling Samuel when he was asleep in the tabernacle. First Abbey told us the extended version of the story- God called Samuel about six times instead of the standard three- and then we asked Elliott, "What story did you hear this morning?" To which she replied, "Sam-ul sleeping. SAM-UL WAKE UP!!!"

Ha ha! Too funny! Elliot sure sounds like a real little character.
I love it.
What is that on Elliott's left arm in the picture where she is making the scary face?
We were at an indoor play place. They stamp the parents' and kids' arms with the same number when you come in and check it when you leave. A great idea, but they look like prison tattoos.
