Halloween 2011

It was a happy Halloween for the Girls on the Go. For me, it was a good one because I spent about $20 on costume items, and everything else was their own dress up items! So now, I present to you: 

Hello Kitty and Pinkalicious! 

They were excited for trick or treating, and yes, Hello Kitty is wearing shorts.

Pinkalicious is surprised at what happens when you eat too many pink cupcakes.

(If you don't know what that means, read on to the end.)

We headed out to do a little trick or treating in our neighborhood. We met up with another little girl in our neighborhood and her mom, and of course, Pirate Captain Chad and Chico joined us.

We had a good time, but it took longer than we expected. Elliott, er, Pinkalicious was a little tired and came home with Daddy to hand out some candy. 

This is before she sorted out the chocolate from the non-chocolate. 

One of the scariest things of the whole Halloween weekend was Abbey's wiggly tooth! She doesn't want anyone to pull her teeth, even when they are very loose. But on Saturday, after a lot of talking and convincing, she pulled her own tooth! Ewwwww! I was proud of her, but teeth really gross me out. I was glad she pulled it before we went to Trunk or Treat so she could enjoy it.

So that was our Halloween 2011. Fun, low-key, cheap, and they got enough chocolate to hold me them for a while!

A quick explanation of their costumes for the confused: Pinkalicious is one of Elliott's favorite books. The main character is naughty, eats too many pink cupcakes and is horrified to see she has turned pink. Elliott is wearing all pink with her cupcake dress and has her face painted pink. Abbey is Hello Kitty, you can tell she's not a regular cat because of the trademark bow on her ear, and her round yellow nose.
